EasyEdge Labels is a stand-alone, Windows application that prints file folder labels. These labels are eight inches wide by two and one half inches high. Four labels are on each label sheet. The edge(strip, or end tab) label consists of eight color coded positions. Each position can be either a single letter, a single number, or a two digit number. Each number or letter has an assigned background color. This edge label is designed to fold over the end tab of end tab folders, or can be folded over the end of a regular folder. The three other labels on the EasyEdge Label program consist of three lines of text that can use any font available on your PC, including bar codes.
Some notable features of EasyEdge Labels are:
|
|
|
-
Automation mode - This feature allows you to create labels from another application. If the application that creates case number, vendor number, client number, etc. has an exit routine, or if it is something you have access to the programming of, you can create a text file that EasyEdge Labels will automatically read and print the labels. When in Automation mode, EasyEdge labels is just an icon in the system tray, running in the background.
-
Templates - Templates can be saved and loaded. They contain edge label information, and the formatting information of the text labels. Tokens in the text labels allow these templates to be dynamic.
-
Tokens - Available on the text labels, these tokens will automatically substitute the value of the edge label, the current date, or the current time, for the token
-
Start Print At - The Start Print At feature allows you to start printing at a particular label on the label sheet, which cuts back on wasted labels.
-
The label sheets - available on the Ordering Info page, are eight and a half by eleven inch sheets divided into four labels, with half inch margins on the top and bottom, and quarter inch margins on the sides. Eventually, these may become available from the normal label stock companies.
-
All printers are different, so EasyEdge Labels has a process that will configure as many printers as you use and save the configuration settings for each of them. Positioning on the page and label height are all configurable. This ensures perfect fit and position on the label page.
